The Original was edited by James H. Fairchild and published in 1876 in its edited and shortened form.

The Original "Memoirs" written by Finney, and edited by Fairchild, was Restored to its original text by using the original manuscript. It was restored by Garth M. Rosell and A. G. Dupuis, and published in 1989.
